Yoga Sunday’s
We are super excited to announce Yoga Sunday’s at Etana Wellness!
The classes we have chosen are ones that are great for beginners. They require no background knowledge of yoga, and involve long deep stretches and breath work to relax both the body and the mind.
These classes are an excellent compliment to an active lifestyle.
Classes are $15 and have a maximum of 8 people. This allows for the feel of one on one time with the instructor, Kayla, as well as a nice quiet environment to learn and relax in.
The classes are:
Hatha Flow
The word “Hatha” means the sun (ha) and the moon (tha). This style of yoga is considered to bring balance to the body.
Strengthen the Body, Calm the Mind, Open the Heart. A Hatha Flow class is taught with unique sequencing to promote a dynamic + relaxing experience. This class incorporates all aspects of a traditional Hatha yoga class – breath, meditation and postures – while challenging your co-ordination through movement. Hatha Yoga combines yoga postures and the use of the breath to flow from one pose to the next.
Restorative/Yin Yoga
Yin yoga begins to open up the deep connective tissue of the body targeting tendons, ligaments and fascia. It increases flexibility and range of motion. Breath and relaxation techniques are also used to help the body release into poses. Yin yoga embodies stillness, relaxation, and calm. This class is ideal if you are looking for deep stretching and relaxation. Blocks and straps are used allowing you to ease into each stretch slowly and gradually. This class is a perfect antidote to stress and a great balance to a very active lifestyle.
