“Pamela is human first – always. She defies the “as seen on tv” trainers who make you cry and spit while gasping for a breath – thank heavens! Pamela is innately kind and her enthusiastic presence as a coach is infectious. She is forthcoming about her own journey on the path to wellness. For example, she described to me once how she related to that feeling of not wanting to get out of a warm bed to go workout, though she knew logically she always feels amazing post-workout. Sharing this communicated to me that she identifies with what it is like to be the client. As Pamela lives a life of constant self-improvement, it is impossible not to be inspired by her and in turn, believe I can do the same for myself. Somehow it is also really comforting that while I am working so hard in a session she is visibly “good sore” from who knows what she was pushing herself to do. I very much appreciate Pamela’s technique in explaining how to perform an exercise. She has a way of demonstrating it where she includes what not to do. I find this increases injury prevention and focuses me on getting the most out of the muscle being targeted. Pamela really listens and it is apparent that the exercises and her coaching strategy are tailored to my physical needs and learning style. One of my most exciting takeaways continues to be the emphasis Pamela puts on stretching after a workout, some of which she actively assists me with. After one particular stretch, I feel the same relief I do when I leave a massage! Moreover, Pamela is also a registered massage therapist. This repertoire of knowledge and experience makes me feel like she really understands all aspects of exactly what we are putting my body through which is reassuring. I really enjoy the variety of exercises our sessions are comprised of. We use several apparatus’ from free weights to machines, bands, a TRX, and of course body weight. I look forward to our sessions to learn what new approach she has come up with to move my body in a different way. Pamela offers a 12-hour cancellation policy as she understands the demands everyday life can pose and feels that requiring 24-hours of notice is unnecessary. This is a wonderful benefit to have which I have not come across as an offering by most professionals. Pamela is also wonderful at working with me to adjust days and times so I don’t have to necessarily cancel at all! I am so grateful for all Pamela continues to teach me. I genuinely feel like she has helped me to take my progress to a higher level and I am enjoying almost every minute of it (outside of plank of course!)
